POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

The Senior Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Professional is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing comprehensive health, safety, and environmental programs across contract sites. This role ensures facility compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards, minimizes risk, and maintains a healthy, safe workplace.

  1. EHS Program Management:
    • Develop and maintain safety and environmental programs in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and DOS standards.
    • Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  2. Policy Compliance & Training:
    • Train staff on EHS policies and procedures.
    • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
  3. Reporting & Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate compliance records and prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies.
  4. Working Conditions:
    • Work in office and field environments; may require site visits and emergency response.
  5. Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to move about facility environments and perform safety inspections.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Secret Clearance required.
• 6-8 years of experience in environmental health and safety.
• Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) Level 2 certification required.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and health/safety standards.
