Position Summary:As a Defect Analysis Sr. Engineer, you will conduct analysis of BMS (Battery Management System) and other Electric components of lithium ion battery pack. You will also conduct reproduction experiments in certain conditions. This job is responsible for identifying the clear root cause of field issues, serving as a control tower to improve quality, and providing safe & reliable batteries to customers.
Essential Responsibilities:- Organize and streamline processes/procedures
- Create instruction and diagnostic manuals
- Derive the root cause through on-site investigation, lab testing and tear-down analysis
- Analyze structural and design safety risks of automobile & battery system
- Analyze the cause of defect through precision analysis equipment
- Conduct a reproducibility experiment to verify the probable cause of a field issue
- Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
- Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
- Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of BMS development work experience
- Strong understanding of electrical and electronic circuits, including basic circuit theory and operating principles
- Fundamental problem-solving skills related to electrical and electronic components and systems
Experience:- Hands-on experience in electrical and electronic circuit analysis
- Experience diagnosing circuit-level issues and performing root cause analysis
- Experience working with BMS, power supply systems, sensors, and protection circuits
- Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment or with EV/PHEV-related projects is a plus

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:- Work is performed in both office and manufacturing environments.
- Regular interaction with manufacturing operations and cross-functional teams.
- May require extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the facility.
- Must be able to use required personal protective equipment (**PAPR**) when entering designated manufacturing areas.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed to support manufacturing operations and meetings with global teams in different time zones.
