The LV Test and Validation team verifies the reliability, electrical performance, and compliance of low-voltage vehicle electronics. The team works with LVEE hardware design engineers and internal and external laboratories to produce decision-ready validation evidence. Its work spans component testing, test automation, failure investigation, and laboratory operations.
Role:As a Sr. EMC Test Engineer, you will deliver automotive EMC/EMI validation and compliance evidence for vehicle electronics. Reporting to the Low-Voltage Test and Validation manager, you will work closely with design engineers and laboratory partners to complete DVP commitments on time. You will combine hands-on execution with disciplined analysis, documentation, and issue closure. Success in the first year means repeatable tests, complete evidence, and timely resolution of issues affecting current and future vehicle programs.
- EMC Validation: Test and validate Lucid electronic modules against automotive EMI and EMC requirements.
- Design Collaboration: Partner with design engineers during pre-DV, DV and PV EMC testing and provide actionable ECU EMC design recommendations based on schematic and PCB layout review.
- Test Planning: Develop component-level EMC plans, procedures, requirements, and EMC test setups with cross-functional engineering partners.
- Laboratory Execution: Plan, schedule, and conduct testing in internal and external laboratories to support DVP commitments.
- Compliance Evidence: Evaluate EMC test data and reports, interpret applicable standards, and communicate compliance results, corrective-action needs and EMC risk assessments.
- Laboratory Capability: Support selection, procurement, setup, and calibration of EMC-related equipment and maintain controlled documentation.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of EMC testing experience; automotive experience is a plus.
- Extensive experience with LISNs, antennas, spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers, oscilloscopes, amplifiers, and related EMC laboratory equipment.
- Familiarity with FCC/CISPR emission and immunity test environments and understanding of FCC Parts 15, CISPR 25, ISO 11452 series, ISO 7637 series, ISO 10605, international regulations such as UNECE Reg 10, and automotive OEM-specific standards.
- Experience evaluating EMC test data and reports and interpreting standards and compliance requirements.
- Experience with Confluence and JIRA, excellent technical and non-technical communication, and an ownership-oriented approach to collaborative engineering.
Preferred:- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience taking an automotive product from concept to final PPAP.
- Experience with TILE EMC test SW
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$144,000-$198,000 USD

Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off. Incentive and equity awards, if applicable, are determined based on individual performance, role scope, market considerations, and overall company results, in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
