Job Description: Job Overview We are seeking a Senior Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to lead the development, optimization, and support of advanced manufacturing systems, including robotic and automated assembly cells. This role requires deep technical expertise in electrical systems, controls engineering, and electromechanical integration, along with strong project management capabilities to drive initiatives from concept through implementation Job Requirements Project Management & Execution • Lead cross-functional engineering projects from concept through implementation, including scope definition, scheduling, resource planning, and execution. • Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope. • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, vendors, and integrators throughout the project lifecycle. • Drive capital equipment projects, including specification development, vendor selection, procurement, installation, and commissioning. • Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, and proactively manage issues to minimize impact on production and timelines. • Track and report project progress, key milestones, and performance metrics to leadership. • Lead design reviews, technical reviews, and project status meetings. • Ensure proper documentation, change management, and adherence to internal engineering and quality processes. Electrical & Controls Engineering • Design, develop, and optimize electrical systems for automated manufacturing equipment, including control panels, wiring architectures, and power distribution. • Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMIs, and industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, Profinet). • Integrate and debug motion control systems, sensors, and embedded systems. • Perform root cause analysis of electrical failures and implement corrective actions. • Lead electrical validation, commissioning, and factory acceptance testing (FAT). Manufacturing & Process Engineering • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, efficiency, and cost reduction. • Develop process documentation, FMEAs, and control plans. • Analyze production data to drive process capability improvements. Automation & Robotics • Oversee integration and optimization of robotic and automated assembly systems. • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on system upgrades and new deployments. Technical Leadership • Serve as SME in electrical manufacturing and automation systems. • Mentor junior engineers and technicians. Quality & Compliance • Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions (8D, RCA). • Ensure compliance with applicable standards and internal requirements. Documentation & Reporting • Maintain engineering documentation, schematics, and project records. • Provide regular updates on project and process performance. What your background should look like Education • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field Experience • 5+ years in manufacturing engineering with strong electrical/automation focus • Demonstrated experience leading technical projects or capital equipment implementations Technical Skills • PLCs, industrial networks, motion control, and electrical system design • CAD tools (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) • Lean / Six Sigma methodologies (preferred) Project Management Skills • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize competing demands • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar) • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders Competencies Values: Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, Teamwork COMPENSATION • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $102,700 - $154,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location) • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith.
