Role Overview:

The Senior Director, Origination & Underwriting Solutions Management is accountable for the global strategy, financial performance, product management, and delivery execution of the Commercial Lending Origination and Underwriting portfolio. The role owns the end-to-end lifecycle for Loan Origination, Credit Assessment, Underwriting, and related AI-enabled lending capabilities, with responsibility for growth, innovation, client outcomes, and operational excellence across Tier 1 and Tier 2 financial institutions globally.

Reporting directly to the SVP, Solution Leader Product, this leader willoperateas the general manager for the portfolio - balancing market opportunity, customer needs, financial commitments, roadmap priorities, technology modernization, regulatory expectations, and delivery performance.

Position Mandate:

  • Own and grow the portfolio as an integrated business, with clear accountability for revenue, profitability, bookings, recurring revenue, investment, client satisfaction, and execution.

  • Define a compelling global product vision and translate it into differentiated roadmaps, commercial offers, and measurable business outcomes.

  • Lead the full product lifecycle - from market insight and investment choices through build, implementation, adoption, value realization, and ongoing modernization.

  • Represent the business with senior client executives and ensure that product and delivery decisions reflect the needs of sophisticated commercial lenders.

  • Build and lead a high-performing global team with a culture of accountability, customer focus, innovation, inclusion, and disciplined execution.

Key Relationships:

The role partners closely with Engineering, Architecture, Sales, Go-to-Market, Professional Services, Client Success, Finance, Marketing, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and regional leadership. Externally, the leader engages heads of Commercial Lending, Credit and Risk, Operations, Technology, and other senior executives at client banks and strategic partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business and P&L Leadership:

  • Own portfolio financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability, bookings, renewals, recurring revenue expansion, investment management, and forecast accuracy.

  • Develop and execute annual and multi-year operating plans, growth strategies, investment cases, and portfolio reviews.

  • Identifyand pursue expansion opportunities across regions, client segments, deployment models, partnerships, and adjacent capabilities.

  • Establish a practical KPI framework covering financial performance, roadmap execution, adoption, quality, delivery, and client outcomes.

  • Make disciplined portfolio trade-offs across growth investments, client commitments, modernization, technical debt, compliance, and operational resilience.

Product Strategy and Portfolio Management:

  • Define and communicate the global vision, strategic positioning, roadmap, pricing, packaging, and lifecycle plans for Loan Origination, Credit Assessment, Underwriting, and related capabilities.

  • Translate market, competitor, regulatory, client, and technology insights into clear product priorities and differentiated value propositions.

  • Drive a unified end-to-end lending journey, including interoperability with servicing, syndication, distribution, core banking, collateral, data, and partner ecosystems.

  • Advance out-of-the-box, SaaS, cloud, configurable, and repeatable product strategies that improve speed to value and scalability.

  • Ensure product strategy serves the distinct needs of complex Tier 1 institutions and Tier 2 banks seeking modern, efficient, and scalable lending operations.

Delivery and Operating Excellence:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery governance from discovery and business case through release,implementationreadiness, adoption, and benefit realization.

  • Partner with Engineering, Architecture, and Services leaders to deliver predictable roadmaps, high-quality releases, scalable implementations, and resilient operations.

  • Create transparent governance for prioritization, dependencies, risks, milestones, capacity, and customer commitments.

  • Improve repeatability through stronger productization, documentation,implementationassets, release readiness, and feedback loops.

  • Use operating data and client insight toidentifydelivery friction, improve time to value, and raise portfolio performance.

Client, Market, and Commercial Leadership:

  • Serve as executive sponsor for strategic clients, major opportunities, and complex transformation programs.

  • Engage senior client stakeholders onoriginationmodernization, credit transformation, underwriting operations, AI adoption, risk controls, and digital lending strategy.

  • Partner with Sales and Go-to-Market teams on target segments, pipeline development, solution positioning, executive presentations, proposals, and deal strategy.

  • Represent the portfolio in client forums, industry events, analyst discussions, advisory boards, and internal executive reviews.

  • Build structured mechanisms for co-creation and convert client insight into scalable product value rather than one-off customization.

Innovation, Data, & AI Leadership:

  • Champion responsible use of AI, advanced analytics, automation, and agentic workflows across origination and underwriting.

  • Prioritize capabilities that improve decision speed, underwriting consistency, borrower and banker experience, productivity, governance, and control.

  • Drive value from capabilities such as automated spreading, AI-assisted credit memos, advanced projections, data validation, portfolio insight, and workflow automation.

  • Ensure innovation is delivered withappropriate transparency, auditability, control, security, and human oversight for regulated lending environments.

People and Organizational Leadership:

  • Recruit, develop, andretaina diverse global team of product, solution, and delivery leaders.

  • Set clear goals, decision rights, operating rhythms, and accountability across the organization.

  • Coach leaders and build succession, domain depth, commercial acumen, and stronger product management capability.

  • Create an environment that encourages constructivechallenge, informed risk-taking, learning, and cross-functional collaboration.

Required Experience:

  • 15+ years of leadership experience in commercial lending, banking technology, financial services software, or fintech.

  • 10+ years leading product management, solution management, or comparable enterprise software organizations.

  • Demonstrated ownership of a material P&L, business unit, or portfolio with measurable growth and profitability accountability.

  • Deep knowledge of commercial lending processes, including origination, credit assessment, underwriting, credit risk, approvals, documentation, and operational handoffs.

  • Experience serving Tier 1 and Tier 2 financial institutions and navigating complex enterprise buying, implementation, and governance environments.

  • Proven ability to lead global, cross-functional teams and deliver through influence across Product, Engineering, Sales, Services, Finance, and regional organizations.

  • Executive presence and communication skillsappropriateforC-suite clients, senior internal leaders, industry forums, and high-stakes decision making.

Preferred Experience:

  • Commercial loan origination systems, credit assessment platforms, risk analytics, or commercial lending workflow technology.

  • SaaS and cloud transformation, platform modernization, configurable enterprise products, and API-enabled ecosystems.

  • AI and machine learning applications in lending, including responsible deployment in regulated environments.

  • Global commercial banking markets across North America, EMEA, and APAC.

  • Large-scale product transformation, portfolio integration, strategic partnerships, andoperating-modelchange.
