Purpose / General Description:
The Sr. Director of Regional Sales position is responsible for the overall sales performance of the Regional Sales Managers. Primary objectives include the profitable achievement of sales organization goals and alignment with the business strategy, including, but not limited to: Incoming Orders targets, Contribution Margin targets and for. The Sr. Director of Regional Sales will work closely with the VP of Sales to help establish the sales targets to meet the company objectives. As a Sr. Director, this role will also require scheduled participation in the Monthly Sales Management Team meetings with the VP of Sales and will be directly involved in the development and refinement of the group strategic planning activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Implements the annual sales plan in support of organization strategy and objectives through active participation in strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, sales resource planning, and budgeting.
Directs implementation and execution of sales policies and practices.
Develops policies and procedures as they relate to Regional Sales Manager development
Establishes productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts, including managing multiple channel selling strategies
Assists with the negotiations for large national account opportunities
Responsible for the oversight of the Regional Development Sales Plans
Leads learning and development initiatives impacting the Regional Sales Team. Establishes training and coaching objectives essential to the sales organization's success, oversees the effective delivery of new employee training and development programs
Directly involved with new product launches and ensures sales team members understand the new product features, market positioning and pricing strategies
This position requires extensive travel; minimum of 50%. Most travel is outside the local area and overnight. International travel may be required to attend sales meetings
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales and marketing or related field is a plus
Minimum 10 years of senior sales management experience with a minimum of 10 direct reports and sales territory management in a business-to-business sales environment
Experience in structuring sales goals and objectives
A strategic planner with strong leadership skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus
Excellent interpersonal skills resulting in the ability to interact effectively in person, via email and via video conference at all levels of an organization. Solid executive presence and self-confidence.
