Senior Digital Travel Product ManagerWe are seeking an experienced
Senior Digital Travel Product Manager to lead the strategy, roadmap, development, and continued expansion of consumer-facing digital travel products and services.
This individual will own the
product vision and roadmap, translating business priorities and customer needs into actionable product requirements and user stories. The role partners closely with engineering, UX/design, analytics, marketing, operations, and other stakeholders to deliver and continuously improve digital experiences across
web and mobile platforms.
The ideal candidate combines strong
digital product management experience with travel industry expertise, a customer-centric mindset, and the ability to use data and insights to drive product decisions.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and manage the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for digital travel products.
- Identify new digital product and service opportunities.
- Translate business strategy into actionable product initiatives.
- Use customer insights, market trends, competitive intelligence, and performance data to guide product decisions.
- Prioritize initiatives based on customer value, business impact, technical effort, and overall strategic importance.
- Establish goals and KPIs and monitor product performance.
- Identify opportunities to optimize existing products and introduce new capabilities.
Product Development
- Lead digital products through the full product development lifecycle.
- Translate high-level priorities into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Own and prioritize the product backlog.
- Partner with development teams to refine requirements and prepare stories for implementation.
- Define business requirements, functionality, navigation, and customer experience.
- Determine release priorities and coordinate product launches.
- Identify project risks, dependencies, and potential solutions.
- Support QA and product testing prior to launch.
UX & Customer Experience
- Partner closely with UX, design, research, and development teams.
- Use customer research, usability testing, and analytics to improve digital experiences.
- Develop product and feature specifications.
- Help guide prototypes and new digital experiences.
- Ensure products provide intuitive, user-centric experiences across web and mobile.
Agile Product Leadership
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and iteration planning.
- Maintain and prioritize product backlogs.
- Work closely with engineering throughout development.
- Monitor production performance and identify issues requiring resolution.
- Coordinate releases and communicate new product functionality to stakeholders.
Analytics & Product Performance
- Establish and monitor KPIs for digital products.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Measure product performance following launches and enhancements.
- Use data and customer insights to drive ongoing optimization.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to support product decisions.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner across technical and non-technical teams to deliver digital initiatives.
- Communicate product strategy, priorities, status, risks, and results to senior stakeholders.
- Lead stakeholder meetings and product discussions.
- Develop rollout and communication plans for significant product launches.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and technology partners.
Required Qualifications- 7-9 years of experience across product management, product ownership, UX/design/research, or related digital product disciplines.
- Travel industry experience required.
- Strong experience managing consumer-facing digital products.
- Experience with web and mobile products, including iOS and Android environments.
- Experience within eCommerce or transactional digital environments.
- Demonstrated experience improving digital product KPIs.
- Strong Agile product management experience.
- Experience developing user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing product backlogs.
- Demonstrated project management experience.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and/or strategic planning.
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and customer experience.
- Experience using analytics, customer insights, and research to guide product decisions.
- Strong strategic, analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate strategy into actionable product plans.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively across technical, business, and executive audiences.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications- Certified Scrum Professional or similar Agile certification.
- Experience leading complex digital product launches.
- Experience working with external technology vendors and partners.
- Experience managing multiple digital products or initiatives simultaneously.
