Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools, particularly GitHub Actions

Full Job Description
Essential Job Functions
Build and maintain streaming and replication pipelines (CDC, Kafka, Materialize) that move data reliably from source systems into the platform
Manage schemas, topics, and data contracts (Schema Registry, Protobuf/Avro) to keep producers and consumers consistent and governed
Provision and manage infrastructure as code (Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker) across shared environments
Configure clusters, access controls, and role-based permissions for shared platform resources
Own CI/CD pipelines and deployment tooling (GitHub Actions) so teams can ship safely and quickly
Build monitoring, alerting, and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, PagerDuty) to catch problems before users do
Participate in on-call rotations, investigate incidents, and drive durable (not band-aid) fixes with clear post-incident follow-through
Write and maintain runbooks, architecture docs, and platform guides so teams can self-serve
Participate in design reviews and RFCs to align platform solutions with business and engineering requirements
