Description
TMRW Sports is seeking a talented, business-minded Sr. Counsel to join its legal team and support its growing portfolio of sports, media, and entertainment businesses. This role will focus primarily on commercial transactions and providing day-to-day legal counsel to TMRW Sports' golf businesses, including TGL and WTGL.
The ideal candidate is a practical, solutions-oriented lawyer who enjoys working closely with business leaders, navigating complex legal and commercial issues, and helping bring innovative ideas to market. Responsibilities:- Commercial Transactions: Draft, negotiate, and advise on a broad range of commercial agreements, including sponsorship, media rights, licensing, technology, vendor, and strategic partnership agreements.
- Golf League Operations: Serve as a key legal advisor to TMRW Sports' golf businesses, providing practical counsel on league and team operations, competition rules, events, policies, and related commercial and operational matters.
- Intellectual Property: Advise on trademark, licensing, brand protection, advertising, promotions, digital content, and other intellectual property and marketing matters.
- Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Support the company's legal and regulatory compliance efforts, including matters involving data privacy, consumer protection, corporate governance, and risk management.
- Strategic Business Support: Work closely with business and executive leadership to structure transactions, evaluate legal and commercial risks, resolve issues, and advance strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Eligibility to practice as in-house counsel in Florida.
- 5+ years of relevant legal experience at a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
- Substantial experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
- Strong business judgment and the ability to provide clear, practical legal advice in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and collaborate effectively with business and executive teams.
Preferred:- Experience in sports, media, entertainment, technology, or other consumer-facing businesses.
- Familiarity with intellectual property, privacy, or corporate governance matters
- In-house legal experience advising business leaders on commercial, operational, and strategic matters.
- Experience operating in a high-growth, entrepreneurial, or fast-paced organization.
