What You Will Do:

As a Sr. Contracts Specialist, you will be a part of the contracts team for a federal government R&D organization providing support for the entire program lifecycle, from source selection activities through contract closeout. Leverage expertise in negotiation, handle multiple priorities effectively, work with a wide variety of technical and project management staff, and apply knowledge of risk assessments and federal procurement topics. Working in a team environment, you will act as an advisor regarding legal requirements, client specifications, and government regulations to streamline the acquisition process and maximize client resources.

What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TS/SCI Federal or DoD securityclearance with a polygraph

  • Bachelor27s degree

  • FIVE (5) years of experience as a contracts professional in the industry or a contracting officer in the federal government. Experience should include, but not be limited to:

    • Intel Community experience with contracts or subcontracts

    • Experience with procurement lifecycle, from source selection activities through closeout.

    • Experience with Requests for Information (RFI) and Broad Agency Announcements (BAA)

    • Experience with evaluation of cost and price procedures/techniques to evaluate offers

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and the formation and administration of different government contract types

  • Demonstrated proficient knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) AND with Non-FAR based instruments such as Other Transaction Agreements

  • Assist with the preparation of contract award and modification packages for final review and approval

  • Ability to be self-directed and work under minimal supervision

  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with personnel at all levels

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functional teams

  • Experience working in a closed areas with moderate oversight.

  • Prior experience as a lead on a contract

  • Experience entering and maintaining contract data into a contract management system.

The annual salary range for this position is $85,000.00-$141,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
