Job Title: Sr. Cloud FinOps Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Cloud FinOps Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing the costs of cloud architectures for MS Azure, AWS, and GCP. The ideal candidate should have expert-level knowledge of services offered across cloud platforms and the cost structure associated with them. You should have a proven ability to optimize and reduce the cloud cost structure in effective and innovative ways.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage cloud costs and usage across multiple cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), providing cost transparency and actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze cloud spending to identify areas for cost optimization, savings opportunities, and financial efficiency.
  • Implement cloud financial management best practices and establish a FinOps framework to manage cloud expenditure effectively.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to design cost-effective cloud architectures that meet performance and scalability requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud pricing models, service changes, and tools for cost optimization across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Develop and implement strategies for resource optimization, including rightsizing, instance scheduling, and reserved instance management.
  • Provide detailed reporting on cloud usage and financial performance to internal teams and leadership.
  • Conduct regular cloud cost audits, and identify unused or underutilized resources to improve efficiency and eliminate waste.
  • Negotiate cloud service pricing and contract terms with vendors to maximize cost savings.
  • Ensure cloud infrastructure remains aligned with budget constraints and financial forecasts.


Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on cost management and optimization (FinOps).
  • Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform services, pricing structures, and cost management tools.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing cost optimization strategies and reducing cloud expenditure.
  • Deep understanding of cloud pricing models, including pay-as-you-go, reserved instances, savings plans, and spot pricing.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Experience with cloud financial management tools like AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, Google Cloud Billing, or third-party FinOps tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • FinOps Certification or relevant cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, GCP) are a plus.
  • Cloud Platform Proficiency: Expertise in AWS, Azure, and GCP with cross-cloud solutions.
