The Role:Savvy is scaling fast, and the transition team is how new advisors get from signed to fully live on our platform. As a Senior Client Transition Specialist, you will own the most complex advisor book transitions end-to-end (large books, advisor teams, Broker Protocol moves, multi-custodian repapers) and act as an extension of the Onboarding Manager across every onboarding in flight. You will set transition plans, assign and balance work across the specialists, coach them day to day and assist the Onboarding Manager with people management (formal direct reports expected in 2027), partner with the manager on complex issues and escalations, and build the processes and automation that let the team absorb more advisors without adding headcount at the same rate. You will run your own book and raise the bar for everyone else's.
Who you are:
- You've done this before. You've owned advisor transitions end-to-end at a custodian, RIA, broker-dealer, or fintech, and you know what breaks a repaper or an ACAT before it breaks.
- You're a step ahead. You see which transition is about to slip before anyone says so, and you act on it.
- You're detail-obsessed, and you spread it. You catch the error others miss, and you teach the people around you to catch it too.
- You make calls. Given incomplete data and a go-live date, you decide what blocks, what waits, and who needs to know, without waiting for permission.
- You build leverage. You turn a one-off fix into a repeatable workflow, document it, and use AI as a default tool while knowing exactly when to verify it.
- You communicate directly. You keep advisors, custodians, and teammates calm and informed under pressure, and you say the hard thing early.
- You have a humble, "can do" attitude and extreme ownership. You want to be part of a winning team, and you embrace being pushed out of your comfort zone.
You will report to the Client Service Onboarding Manager.
Responsibilities:- Own the end-to-end transition of Savvy's most complex advisor books across custodians (Schwab, Fidelity), from transition planning and paperwork generation through completed account transfers and handoff to steady state.
- Act as an extension of the Onboarding Manager: own assignment of new onboardings to specialists based on complexity and capacity, maintain visibility across all in-flight onboardings, run the weekly portfolio review, and rebalance work as risks and volume shift.
- Solve complex issues and escalations (NIGO, custodian, vendor, data, advisor) together with the Onboarding Manager: own the first response, resolve or route quickly, and keep the advisor informed throughout.
- QA paperwork, transition spreadsheets, and trackers on high-risk books before submission; run root-cause reviews on NIGOs and turn findings into fixes.
- Assist the Onboarding Manager with people management of the Transition Specialists: regular 1:1s, coaching on process, custodial platforms, and judgment calls, performance input, and onboarding new team members. Formal direct reports expected in 2027.
- Lead pre-go-live transition planning with Sales and the advisor's team: data readiness, sequencing, standing instructions, and go-live risks.
- Own and maintain the transition playbook; identify, build, and document process and automation improvements (including AI workflows) in partnership with Product and Operations.
- Report on transition health (turnaround, NIGO rate, stalled accounts) and flag risk early to leadership.
Must Have:- 5 to 8+ years in client operations, advisor transitions, onboarding, or account management in wealth management, with at least one full advisor book transition owned end-to-end.
- Hands-on experience with Schwab and/or Fidelity custodial platforms and a deep grasp of account transfer, repaper, LPOA, and ACAT paperwork and NIGO resolution.
- A track record of operating across many concurrent, deadline-driven workstreams and seeing risk before it surfaces.
- Demonstrated judgment: you've made consequential calls with incomplete information and can explain how you decided.
- Experience coaching, training, assigning work to, or QA'ing the work of others, with or without formal authority, and the desire to manage people formally.
- Strong data hygiene and spreadsheet skills (lookups, validation, cleaning messy custodian exports) and the discipline to catch errors before they compound.
- At least one process or automation improvement you built that other people adopted.
- Fluent, daily use of AI tools for data and document work, with clear judgment about when to trust versus verify output.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the confidence to keep advisors and custodians calm and informed under pressure.
- A collaborative, low-ego, self-starter attitude with extreme ownership, and comfort in a high-growth, constantly changing environment.
Nice to have:- Experience with Broker Protocol transitions, advisor teams, or books over $100M.
- Familiarity with Orion, Salesforce, DocuSign, and bulk onboarding or CRM import tooling.
- Experience building workflows or automations with AI tools (Claude, custom skills, scripts) beyond single-chat use.
- Prior experience at a high-growth startup, custodian, RIA, or broker-dealer.
- Experience formally managing a small operations team.
