Sr. Associate, Capital Markets & Analytics
This position in Capital One’s Capital Markets and Analytics team offers the candidate a unique opportunity to be part of a diverse team, interacting with all facets of Treasury and Balance Sheet Management. The analyst will perform core Balance Sheet & Treasury Planning activities, including supporting Capital Markets Funding Plan and Treasury P&L modeling and reporting and driving process improvements in the team’s models and data infrastructure. The role requires exceptional decision-making, analytical, problem solving, leadership, and communication skills, and the candidate must be able to operate in a collaborative and dynamic environment that requires strong partnership, teamwork, and the ability to handle concurrent projects in addition to the primary responsibilities of the team. A passion for introducing new technologies and process innovation into current workflows will also be a strong consideration for this role.
Responsibilities:
Support modeling and reporting for the Capital Markets Funding Plan and Treasury P&L, as part of the monthly Corporate Outlook process and annual stress testing exercises
Drive enhancements in the team9s modeling and data infrastructure to support continued integration efforts and upcoming enterprise wide initiatives
Partner with cross-functional teams and drive data, process, and analytics automation initiatives
Demonstrate ability to explore and quickly grasp new technologies to progress varied initiatives and help drive automation and advanced analytics
Build and maintain relationships with diverse partner teams across the company, providing guidance to teams within Finance (Treasury, Balance Sheet Management, FP&A, etc.), lines of business, and operational staff functions
Assist in evaluating new regulatory changes and their impact on processes
Provide support to ensure all deliverables are completed on time and prepare updates for Senior Leadership
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor9s degree or military experience
At least 2 years of experience in Financial Services
At least 1 year of experience in Python, SQL, Tableau, or a combination
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years9 experience working with Capital Markets products
Experience with risk management, compliance, audit, finance, or a combination
Strong communication and presentation skills
Strong critical thinking with an ability to balance changing priorities
Prior experience working effectively in a collaborative environment
Experience with Google Suite

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $111,200 - $126,900 for Sr. Analyst, Capital Markets & Risk
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate9s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
