5-7 years of experience in applications engineering or related field
Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering; Master's preferred
Thorough understanding of electronic security systems
Proficient in MS Office, Acrobat, Visio, DWG Writer, and Salesforce
Strong communication skills and ability to procure subcontractor pricing
Excellent knowledge of construction industry conventions
Ability to interpret specifications and drawings accurately.
Responsibilities
Develop project requirements from customer interviews and site surveys
Create detailed equipment lists and installation requirements for security systems
Estimate installation costs in collaboration with various operational teams
Review architectural and engineering documents for compliance
Support the RFI, RFP, RFQ, and RFM&S processes as needed

POSITION SUMMARY
As a Sr. Applications Engineer, you will need to formulate an engineered estimate and or budget for new and existing clients that shall be provided by consultants, engineers, construction managers, and general contractors and also from in-house Sales Representatives, Key Account Representatives and or Project Managers.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Interface with Account Mangers, Support Services, Implementation Coordinators, Project Managers and Proposal Support Department on a regular basis.
Interface with Customers, Manufacturer's Representatives, Manufacturer's Technical staff, Distribution Suppliers and Supply Vendors on a regular basis.
Interface with area and senior leadership to develop a win strategy and evaluate the dynamics of projects.
Work with fellow application engineers providing guidance and or design aid in projects and products that are unfamiliar to them.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Develop project requirements from interviews, customer provided scope of work, site surveys, specification, pricing sheets and drawing reviews.
Develop and provide detailed equipment list, electrical requirements, installation requirements and costing for turn-key security system solutions.
Configure and quote proprietary Pre Fabrication of applicable access control, CCTV and other systems
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Product selection and application (to ensure the right product is used in the right application) while maintaining adherence to Securitas's product selection process and design standards.
Estimate installation costs in conjunction with Implementation Operations, Service Operations, Internal Labor and External Labor
Review of Field Site Survey documents and drawings.
Supports the RFI, RFP, RFQ and RFM&S process as needed
Create estimates and budgets for access control, intrusion, cctv, intercom, PSIM, PLC and structured cabling systems
