The Sr. Analyst of Compensation will support the design and execution of RBI's global compensation program that impacts how our corporate and restaurant-level employees are rewarded. - Compensation Framework and Execution: Market pricing, benchmarking, and market intelligence analysis using multiple survey sources to support pay range, grade, job leveling, and offer recommendations.
- Restaurant Incentive Program Support: Partner with the business to motivate and reward employees and drive the right outcomes across our 1,000+ company restaurants.
This role -
Sr. Analyst, Compensation - reports to the
Sr. Manager, Compensation and is responsible for collaborating with leaders to execute on critical compensation programs for all RBI brands and regions. With exposure to our business units and functions, this role provides an excellent opportunity to grow as our function evolves.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the setup, execution, and management of compensation programs, experience in working with leaders and business stakeholders, and proven ability to build and improve processes.
Responsibilities
Compensation Program Design & Analysis
- Lead complex market pricing, benchmarking, and market intelligence analysis using multiple survey sources to support pay range, grade, job leveling, and offer recommendations.
- Analyze base pay, variable pay, incentive eligibility, range positioning, compression, and internal equity to identify risks and recommend data-driven remediation actions.
- Prepare clear compensation materials, insights, and recommendations for HR and business stakeholders; translate complex data into concise, actionable guidance.
- Build, maintain, and improve compensation models, reporting, and recurring analytics to monitor market competitiveness, program effectiveness, and workforce trends.
Governance & Program Execution
- Support pay transparency and compensation compliance activities, including posted pay range guidance, pay range documentation, audit support, and partnership with Legal and HR.
- Support annual merit and compensation planning processes from budget modeling through employee-level delivery and communications.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, Finance, and business leaders on total compensation offers, promotional increases, retention requests, and exception reviews.
- Utilize HR technology, analytics tools, automation, and responsible AI-enabled solutions to streamline day-to-day compensation processes, improve data quality, and enhance analytical capabilities while maintaining appropriate human review.
- Participate in and analyze compensation surveys, peer data, and other market intelligence to maintain competitive compensation structures across global markets.
Requirements
- Superior analytical skills and advanced financial acumen with ability to develop and maintain complex financial models - advanced Excel skills.
- 2-4 years of experience working in Compensation, Total Rewards, HR Analytics, Finance, or equivalent teams
- Strong market data experience, including survey participation, survey source selection, job matching, aging data, geographic differentials, market composites, and pay range recommendations.
- Bachelor's degree in quantitative fields such as mathematics, finance, engineering, business, statistics, economics, or related field.
- High attention to detail, sound judgment, confidentiality, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
Who We're Looking For
We welcome candidates from Executive Compensation and Broad-Based Compensation backgrounds, Finance/Strategy professionals, and internal RBI talent from roles such as FP&A, Analytics, People, and Operations, who bring strong business acumen and a desire to build deep expertise in this space.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and/or Certified Executive Compensation Professional (CECP) designation, or progress towards certification, is an asset.
- Familiarity with AI and automation tools, particularly ChatGPT and/or Claude.
- Experience with compensation benchmarking databases (e.g. Radford, Mercer, WTW, Salary.com) and/or equity administration platforms (e.g. Solium, Fidelity).
- Working knowledge of job architecture, compensation structures, incentive programs, pay equity concepts, and pay transparency requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to advise stakeholders and explain compensation recommendations clearly.
Salary
Base salary range of $85,000 - $100,000, plus an annual bonus target of 15% of base salary. Compensation for this position may vary based on relevant factors such as experience, education, location, and skills.
This position is eligible to participate in the Company's annual discretionary bonus plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the incentive program, based on individual and company performance metrics. This position may also be eligible for additional compensation in the form of equity grants pursuant to the Company's long-term incentive plan.
