Summary

The Senior Analyst, Business Intelligence & Analytics, working in collaboration with and in support of the firm's strategic initiatives, in the Data Analytics group, is responsible for data analytics and data products that support data-informed strategic decision-making across the firm with focused analysis on client profitability, segmentation, market-informed growth analytics, and scalable business intelligence solutions that support the entire firm.

This role supports the firm's analytics and reporting capabilities through the development and enhancement of dashboards, executive scorecards, data models, KPI frameworks, and automated reporting solutions that combine internal financial data with market research, benchmarking, and business development insights.

Working with Revenue, Strategic Finance, Business Development, Pricing, Technology, Finance, and business stakeholders, this position translates client, competitor, and financial analysis into meaningful insights that support data-informed decision-making and consistent self-service reporting.

Location

This position can sit in our New York, Short Hills, or Chicago office and offers a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Provide analytical support and reporting for strategic planning initiatives for Vertical leads, the Global Finance Committee Head, Practice Group leadership, and Business Development leadership.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align analytics products with business priorities.
  • Collaborate with the Manager, Strategic Finance & Market Analytics to align recommendations with business priorities.
  • Conduct profitability analysis across clients, sectors, segmentation, matters, and practices.
  • Analyze and highlight growth opportunities and margin risks using financial, market, and benchmarking data.
  • Translate analytical requirements and outputs for strategic business questions.
  • Develop reusable data models that connect financial, operational, revenue, pricing, and market sources.
  • Support the development of KPI definitions, calculation logic, ownership, and governance standards.
  • Automate recurring reporting to improve timeliness, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Support self-service reporting through dashboards, documentation, and user guidance.
  • Maintain reporting quality, metric consistency, and stakeholder confidence in results.

Desired Skills

Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Excel, data modeling, visualization, SQL, reporting automation, and data-quality management. Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and maintaining dashboards, data models, automated reporting, and executive-ready analysis.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and synthesize complex financial, operational, market, and business data into meaningful insights.

Excellent written, verbal, and data storytelling skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts and analytical findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills to work effectively across different teams and business functions. Highly organized with strong attention to details and the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Analytics, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.

Preferred Education
  • Master's Degree.

Minimum Years of Experience
  • 4 years' experience in business intelligence, data analytics, financial analytics, or a related field. Experience applying financial, market, benchmarking, or BD data to inform business decisions.

The firm's expected hiring range for this position is $98,990 - $137,126 per year depending on the candidate's geographic market location.

The compensation offered for employment will also be dependent on other factors including the candidate's experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits, including medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
