Full Job Description
The Opportunity:

As a Senior AI Product Manager at Artos, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of AI-native products that transform how life sciences companies create, manage, and work with complex regulatory and scientific documentation.

You will work closely with our founders, engineering, AI, design, implementation, and customer-facing teams to identify high-value problems, define product direction, and turn advances in AI into reliable products that scientists and regulatory teams can use in real-world workflows.

This is a highly cross-functional and hands-on product role. You will work at the intersection of AI, enterprise software, and lifesciences, partnering with customers and technical teams to take products from discovery and experimentation through production and adoption.

At Artos, we are building an AI-native platform designed to help life sciences organizations dramatically reduce the time and effort required to produce high-quality regulatory documentation. Our customers operate in complex, highly regulated environments where accuracy, traceability, reliability, and usability matter as much as the underlying AI's capabilities.

What You'll Do:
  • Own the product lifecycle for key areas of the Artos platform, specifically related to cross-functional hand-offs, product documentation, and product quality testing.
  • Develop and maintain a clear product roadmap based on customer needs, company strategy, technical capabilities, and market opportunities.
  • Work directly with pharmaceutical, biotech, and life sciences customers to understand regulatory and scientific workflows, pain points, and automation opportunities.
  • Partner closely with engineering and AI teams to translate complex customer problems into clear product requirements and technical priorities.
  • Define requirements for AI-powered experiences where accuracy, citations, traceability, evaluation, and human review are critical to customer trust.
  • Lead product discovery and validation through interviews with internal teams and customers, workflow analysis, prototypes, experiments, and user feedback.
  • Make thoughtful product tradeoffs across customer needs, technical complexity, speed, reliability, and scalability.
  • Support CS teams to define success metrics and evaluate whether the products and features we ship are actually improving customer outcomes.
  • Partner with implementation and customer-facing teams to ensure new capabilities work in real customer environments and drive adoption.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the regulatory technology landscape, competitive products, emerging AI capabilities, and evolving customer expectations.
  • Help establish product management practices appropriate for a fast-moving, early-stage AI company.
What We're Looking For:
  • Significant product management experience building and shipping complex B2B software products, ideally in AI, enterprise SaaS, life sciences, or another highly technical environment.
  • A track record of owning meaningful products or product areas from initial discovery through production and adoption.
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams and the technical depth to engage meaningfully in discussions about architecture, data, APIs, AI systems, and product tradeoffs.
  • Strong understanding of modern AI products and the opportunities and limitations of technologies such as LLMs, RAG, agents, evaluation frameworks, and human-in-the-loop systems.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous customer problems into clear product requirements and prioritized development plans.
  • Strong product judgment and the ability to distinguish between interesting AI capabilities and products that solve meaningful customer problems.
  • Experience conducting customer discovery and using customer feedback and product data to drive prioritization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, executives, customers, and domain experts.
  • Comfort operating in an early-stage environment where priorities evolve quickly and product managers are expected to be deeply involved in execution.
  • A strong bias toward ownership. You identify problems, drive decisions, and stay involved until the product is working successfully for customers.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience building AI-native or LLM-powered enterprise products.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical, biotech, regulatory affairs, clinical, medical writing, or scientific software.
  • Familiarity with regulatory documentation workflows and the challenges involved in producing complex, evidence-backed scientific content.
  • Experience building products where explainability, citations, provenance, auditability, or human review are important.
  • Experience working with enterprise customers and navigating the requirements of security-conscious or highly regulated organizations.
  • Experience taking an AI product from prototype or proof of concept into a reliable production system used by enterprise customers.
Other Information:

Very comfortable working in a fast-paced and intense startup environment

Willing to work in-person in our office in Mission Bay 4-5 days/week

Likes matcha KitKats, believes every LLM prompt is just Schrödinger's cat waiting to be observed, and knows too many random facts about the Mongol postal system
