PROGRAMThe Stein Education Center serves Developmentally Disabled students ages 5 to 22 who are unable to attend public schools. The work environment is challenging but rewarding. We are a caring organization with room for advancement.
THE POSITIONThe Speech Language Pathologist works under the supervision of the Speech Language Pathologist Coordinator. An example of tasks include:
- Evaluates students to determine suitability for speech services when requested by supervisor.
- Consults with classroom teachers, other support services, family services and parents, as requested.
- Serves as a member of the Individual Educational Plan (I.E.P.) team.
- Attends Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) review meetings.
- Provides speech services to students in accordance with Individualized Education Plans (I.E.P.'s).
- Ensures that students' behavioral programs are appropriately implemented during speech therapy sessions.
- Develops and maintains visual supports and AAC for students across their daily needs.
- Completes treatment notes for assigned students on a daily basis.
- Completes I.E.P. updates as required by school districts within one month of due date.
- Completes quarterly progress reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned in a timely and cooperative manner.
REQUIREMENTS- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
- California state license from SLPA Board
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
- Previous clinical experience of a minimum of one (1) year with developmentally disabled population preferred.
- Able to pass drug test, TB test, background check.
HOURSFull Time - Monday thru Friday
PAY$43.00 per hour & up
