Full Job Description

This role owns account data quality, controls, and process discipline across the account lifecycle — onboarding, fund launches,transitions, terminations,exception monitoring/resolution, and technology implementation.

This is a hands-on role requiring day-to-day data maintenance work, including researching and resolving data exceptions and breaks across systems (e.g.,trading platforms,Data Warehouses,Visualization Systems,andGolden Sources), and working directly with data owners to align fields and definitions across systems. The role has a growth path toward broader ownership of account lifecycle processes and offshore workflow oversight as the function matures over 1–3 years.

Responsibilities

Data Quality & Exception Resolution

  • Manually investigate and resolve mismatched account data across systems, working directly with data owners to align fields and definitions.

  • Download and reviewdata exceptionsdaily;and reach out to account owners to resolve breaks.

Account Onboarding &DataSetup

  • Oversee the New Account team's daily new Aladdin account opening.

  • Submit,reviewand approveNew Account Application (NAA) updates

  • Assist the New Account Opening team with openingInstitutional,Intermediary,Subadvised, and CIT Trust accounts.

  • Manage account openings at custodian portals.

  • Maintain Aladdin data through updates in ADAM and Blackrock Portfolio Toolkit.

  • Establish consistent entity recordsand account reference dataacross systems.

DataGovernance and Standards

  • Support theAccountData Steward in defining and executing the account data roadmap.

  • Define and supervise governance of critical data elements.

  • Add new Account Business Terms intoGlossary+to support enterprise data cataloging.

  • Add new rules to the Data Platform Portal, including rules thatutilizelookup tables.

  • Review Data Warehouse discrepancies and drive resolution.

  • Perform ERISAand other regulatoryflagcontrolsdata review.

  • Performuseraccess screeningfor account master data.

Technology Partnership & Continuous Improvement

  • Identifyand project manage account data enhancements across key systems and stakeholders.

  • Submit stories to technology and attend grooming sessions to shape upcoming enhancements.

  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) forsubmittedstories.

  • Submit stories for newDatacticsrules to support automated exception detection.

  • Collaborate on cross-functional projects where account data is used.

Stakeholder Coordination & Reporting

  • Lead aweekly account data meeting with key stakeholdersto review open items and exception trends.

  • Organize the AccountOwnersQuarterly Discussion/Update call, providing updates on progress against the roadmap.

  • Prepareand presentquarterly updatefor Enterprise Data Governance (EDG)leadership.

  • Partner acrossfront office (Sales, Portfolio Management) and control teams (Operations,Finance,Legal &Compliance, Technology), and offshoreteams on account data initiatives.

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree 

  • 5-8+ years of relevant experience 

  • Experience with reference data, security master, or account master data. 

  • Experience documenting and mapping business processes.

  • Project management and business analysis experience.

  • Strong data analysis, profiling, and discovery skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent work efforts independently.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiencyin MS Excel, Visio (or equivalent), and PowerPoint.

  • Comfort with hands-on manual data investigation and exception resolution.

Preferred

  • Hands-on experience with Aladdin,Datactics, and/orVantageIQ.

  • Data governance experience in financial services.

  • Fund launch or fund onboarding experience.

  • Investment operations background.

  • 5+ years of asset management experience.

  • Experience with data cataloging tools (e.g., Collibra) or lookup-table-drivenrulesengines.

  • Exposure to offshore team coordination.

Location: New York City; hybrid with a minimum of three days per week in office.

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $125,000-$150,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package.
