The role of Space Vehicle Test Engineer is a Satellite Systems Engineer with deep Space Vehicle Assembly Integration and Test (SV Al&T). This role provides technical support, coaching and mentoring Government points of contact (GPOCs) relative to ongoing SVAl&T activities happening across diverse geographically located contractor facilities.
Position OverviewLV8D Solutions is seeking a Space Vehicle Test Engineer to support the GPOC overseeing SV Al&T providing critical insight to the prime contractor's execution of Al&T.

RequirementsKey Responsibilities- Directs Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations (ATLO) operations and activities
- Supports staffing, planning and headcount allocation to ensure adequate in-plant coverage for critical operations
- Supports ATLO schedule assessments and Al& T planning activities
- Facilitates factory inquiries and on-site visits
- Tracks special topics impacting Al&T progress and participate in relate forums and working groups to facilitate resolution
- Reviews procedures, witness floor operations, and provide independent verification to improve operational safety and efficiency
- Conducts requirements and Concept of Operations (CONOPs) reviews; providing feedback as necessary
- Provides Mandatory Inspection Point (MIP) coverage and report when available
- Informs customer of Al&T status via verbal, daily written and ad hoc reports
- Leverages contractor reports, floor walks, and interviews to maintain situational awareness
- Serves as primary communication channel for technical and operational updates
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 9-14 year experience in ATLO, Al&T or Systems engineering for space programs
- Proven leadership in Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) activities, including team management and stakeholder coordination
- Familiarity with Department of War (DoW)/Intelligence Community (IC) programs and Statement of Work (SOW) compliance
- Strong organizational and communication skills within high pressure environments
- Experience in reviewing installation/test procedures, monitoring execution, identifying risks, discrepancy resolution and on-site support
Preferred Qualifications- INCOSE ESEP or CSEP
- Master degree and 8 years of experience
- Experience using systems engineering processes, methods, tools, and program roles to develop, implement, and deploy solutions for Satellite Systems.
- Experience as an intelligence analyst with demonstrated skills in communicating with analytical communities
- Thorough understanding of space systems design, integration and test requirements and test execution, including test equipment support.
- Experience in Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) construct and Earned Value processes
