Full Job Description
You9ll join our go-to-market team, reporting to our Head of GTM, and help customers evaluate, implement, and get the most out of Momentic across pre- and post-sales. We9re looking for a customer-minded engineer who enjoys talking to people, gets hands-on with technical problems, and earns trust through clear explanations and follow-through.
What you9ll do
Lead technical discovery and demos with engineers, QA teams, and engineering leaders.
Own technical POCs alongside AEs: define success criteria, refine technical requirements, resolve blockers, and help customers reach an informed decision.
Run customer onboarding and implementations, from initial test coverage through CI/CD integration.
Be a trusted technical advisor: answer deeply technical questions, explain product behavior and tradeoffs, and recommend testing approaches that fit each customer9s needs.
Own the technical customer relationship from evaluation through implementation and ongoing adoption, helping teams resolve blockers and make sound testing decisions. Partner with engineering when deeper investigation is needed.
Bring customer feedback and implementation lessons into product and engineering.
Help build our solutions engineering practice. Improve demos, onboarding, implementation, and troubleshooting, and build tools and automations that make customer work more effective.
You9re perfect for this role if...
You have 2+ years of technical experience in software engineering.
You can read and write code, debug unfamiliar systems, and reason through applications, APIs, environments, and CI/CD pipelines.
You have hands-on experience with CI/CD setups and providers such as GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Buildkite, or Bitrise, source control, the terminal and command line, and agentic coding tools such as Cursor, Claude, or Codex.
You enjoy working with customers, asking thoughtful questions, and helping them solve technical problems.
You earn engineers9 trust through clear written and live communication, sound technical judgment, and follow-through.
You9re organized and can keep multiple evaluations and implementations moving. You can break technical work into clear steps, coordinate with AEs and customer teams, and follow through on blockers.
You don9t need to have held a Solutions Engineer title before. We welcome engineers who enjoy working directly with customers.
Nice to haves
Familiarity with developer tools, testing, observability, or infrastructure.
A track record supporting both pre-sales evaluations and post-sales implementations.
An ability to build demos or technical walkthroughs that make complex products easy to understand.
