Job Description:
WHAT AWAITS YOU. - Leading architectural and design efforts across multiple products, domains, primes, leveraging BMW processes, agile/DevOps models, and IT standards.
- Driving technical change and innovation, advocating new technologies within senior business and IT networks.
- Acting as a full stack team member supporting analysis, development, and operations to overcome technical challenges.
- Overseeing software design and engineering, ensuring secure coding, adherence to guidelines, and mentoring developers.
- Promoting operational excellence by consolidating designs, documenting procedures, resolving tier-3 DevOps escalations, and leading application upgrades.
- Ensuring high availability and business agility through cloud-native toolchains and problem-solving across products.
- Supporting and leads Agile project activities, emphasizing customer-centric system design and clear business requirements.
- Defining technology vision, integrates new technologies, and evaluates external solutions to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING. - BA/BS degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering or the equivalent of 4 years of experience in the management of information technology application development, maintenance and support.
- 7+ years of demonstrated success in Information Technology, with at least:
- 5+ years in a senior-level software engineering role.
- 3+ years architecting complex systems for senior engineers.
- 1+ years working in Agile projects.
- Experience in architecture and IT landscape aspects of the common and upcoming technologies used for BMW NA's and the regional solution stacks, e.g.
- Experience in the technical solution stack applied in the incumbent's area of responsibility, e.g. Java, .Net, C#, Web, databases, Angular JS, T-SQL, Python, HTML, Oracle
- Experience in software engineering and understanding of software architecture concepts, e.g. AWS, user experience design and test-driven development, test automation and continuous integration and deployment, Rest API and other service-oriented architecture approaches.
- Experience with Cloud Native Computing, esp. Docker & Kubernetes in public cloud.

In support of BMW Group's business objectives, this position requires regular onsite attendance at a BMW office/facility with remote work capability (hybrid).
The expected salary range for this position is $89,700.00 - $140,500.00.
The selected candidate's education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. All pay ranges are based on a full-time work schedule. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.
