Senior Solution Architect
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and authoritative Senior Solution Architect to lead architecture discovery, technical design, and end-to-end solution delivery across major enterprise initiatives. In this role, you will own the complete solution design lifecycle from inception through implementation and operational transition, ensuring that technical solutions align seamlessly with enterprise standards, business goals, and robust security frameworks.
This is a high-impact architecture leadership role for an autonomous technical strategist who excels at translating complex business requirements into robust, scalable, and secure technical designs. You will drive cross-functional collaboration across infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data teams, review partner and vendor architectures, and guide complex integrations spanning cloud, SaaS, and on-premises environments. If you possess deep expertise in enterprise solution design and technical governance, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Delivery & Technical Governance
• End-to-End Architecture Ownership: Serve as the primary technical design authority and architecture lead for assigned initiatives, owning solution designs from discovery to operational handover.
• Requirements Translation: Facilitate technical discovery and business workshops to translate business processes, objectives, and unstated requirements into actionable technical components and non-functional requirements (NFRs).
• Documentation & Artifacts: Author comprehensive Solution Design Documents (SDDs) and produce vital architecture artifacts, including system context, application, integration, data flow, deployment, and network diagrams.
• Partner Oversight: Lead technical reviews with system integrators, software vendors, and managed service providers; evaluate third-party designs for completeness, security, and enterprise alignment.
Application, Integration & Infrastructure Design
• Integration Strategy: Design hybrid solutions involving cloud services, SaaS platforms, on-premises systems, and legacy applications utilizing approved API, middleware, event-driven, and data integration patterns.
• Technical Readiness & Environments: Define environment requirements (dev, QA, UAT, production, disaster recovery) and identify hosting, compute, storage, network, and security dependencies.
• Cybersecurity Alignment: Partner early with Cybersecurity to establish trust boundaries, data classifications, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance controls within the solution design.
• Operational Transition: Ensure monitoring, logging, alerting, backup, and disaster recovery requirements are established and successfully handed over to operational support teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional work experience).
• Experience Baseline: Minimum of 8+ years of professional information technology experience with a strong emphasis in solution architecture, application design, software engineering, systems integration, or technical delivery.
• Technical Mastery:
oDemonstrated hands-on experience authoring comprehensive Solution Design Documents and end-to-end architecture diagrams.
oProven experience designing solutions that span cloud, SaaS, on-premises, and partner-hosted environments.
oExpertise in application integration technologies, APIs, middleware, event-driven architectures, and data exchange patterns.
oWorking knowledge of enterprise networking concepts (firewalls, DNS, routing, load balancing, certificates, private connectivity).
oSolid understanding of cybersecurity principles, secure solution design, IAM, and data protection frameworks.
• Core Competencies: Strong communication, stakeholder management, facilitation, and influence skills; ability to challenge incomplete designs, resolve ambiguity, and drive cross-functional technical decisions to closure.
Preferred Attributes
• Specialized experience with enterprise integration platforms (e.g., Azure Integration Services, MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica).
• Experience with microservices, container platforms (Docker/Kubernetes), and modern cloud-native architectures.
• Background supporting large-scale technology transformations, application modernization, or cloud migration programs.
• Industry certifications such as TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or CISSP.
