Who we are looking forWe are seeking a highly motivated QA Engineer who takes end-to-end ownership of quality-from early requirement validation through testing, defect resolution, and final delivery. This role goes beyond executing test cases; you will play a key role in enhancing overall product quality, expanding test coverage, lead testing efforts for cross-team initiatives,
and driving automation initiatives to improve long-term efficiency.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with Product to understand and define end-to-end client workflows, ensuring comprehensive validation for complex Wealth workflows that span multiple systems and integration, and with a focus on strengthening automation coverage.

What you will be responsible forAs Software QA Engineer, AVP, you will
- Collaborate closely with the Scrum Master, Product Owner, Architects, Business Analysts, Developers, and cross-functional team members to deliver high-quality software
- Create and maintain clear, comprehensive test plans in Xray for each sprint
- Drive adoption of modern QA practices including AI-assisted testing
- Oversee defect management processes, ensuring timely triage, root cause analysis, and resolution in addition to logging, tracking, and triaging defects with well-documented, reproducible steps
- Expand and enhance automated test coverage to improve efficiency and scalability
- Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot automated test failures
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
- Validate acceptance criteria during grooming sessions to ensure testability and clarity
- Proactively identify gaps, edge cases, and potential risks early in the development lifecycle
- Present and demo completed QA stories during team and department demos, effectively highlighting functionality and test coverage
- Configure and manage automated test environments using tools such as Jenkins or TeamCity
- Ensure Jira stories and defects meet the Definition of Done (DoD) criteria
- Actively participate in agile ceremonies, including grooming, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Coordinate cross-team "swarm" testing efforts for end-to-end validation, including setting up test environments and developing comprehensive master test plans to ensure complete coverage across systems and workflows
Qualifications- Masters degree in computer science or equivalent
Experience- 5+ years of experience
- Exposure to financial services and/or investment management domains
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, including functional, regression, and integration testing
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Proven experience with test automation (UI and/or API)
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis
- Ability to translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical test plans
- Experience in using CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows
- Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate findings
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Team player with high energy and a positive attitude
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus
- Strong sense of ownership with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter who can ramp up independently and be able to educate team members on end to end workflows
Salary Range: $91,000 - $140,500 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
