Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or High School diploma with relevant experience.
• 3+ years of experience in software testing.
• Experience with component-level testing of software modules.
• Experience developing test plans and test cases.
• Proficiency with command-line tools, scripting, and testing techniques.
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps).
• Experience using defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Write and execute test cases for individual software components.
• Document test processes, execution results, and findings.
• Analyze test reports and performance metrics.
• Validate software functionality prior to system integration.
• Use command-line tools, scripts, and test stubs/mocks for validation.
• Identify, document, and report software defects using tracking tools.
• Participate in software design reviews and provide feedback on requirements and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
• Support testing activities within Linux-based and DevOps environments.
