Responsibilities

Summary: As a Quality Engineer (QE), you will partner closely with Product Managers, Developers, and cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and scalable software solutions. You will play a key role in validating product functionality, performance, and user experience through a combination of manual and automated testing practices.

Responsibilities:  

• Design, develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test strategies, including functional, smoke, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Create and maintain test cases with clear traceability to business requirements and technical specifications.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and analyze software defects by reviewing application behavior, logs, and system integrations.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test suites and frameworks to improve test coverage and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure quality is built into every release.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies, and drive quality engineering best practices.
• Monitor, analyze, and communicate testing progress, quality metrics, and release readiness to stakeholders.
• Contribute to test data management, environment setup, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Mentor team members and promote a culture of quality, innovation, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

Required Skills:    

• Strong hands-on experience in functional testing, including test planning, test case design, execution, and defect management.
• Proven experience with UI test automation and a solid understanding of automation frameworks and best practices.
• Experience testing REST APIs and protobuf-based services, including automation of API test scenarios.
• Demonstrated ability to design and build test automation frameworks and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong programming and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Java preferred (other modern programming languages are also considered).
• Working knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and data validation techniques.
• Solid understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Life Cycle processes.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

 

Preferred Skills:    

• Experience with performance testing, load testing, and DevOps practices.

• Foundational knowledge of Agentic AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and their applications in software quality engineering and testing.

• Experience testing AI-enabled applications, machine learning models, or intelligent systems.

• Salesforce Administration expertise, including user management, security and access controls, reports and dashboards, workflow automation, and platform configuration.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern software delivery practices.

Other/State Specific

This role pays between $103,000/Yr  to $120,000/Yr, and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, responsibilities, experience, and location.
