Job DescriptionACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TS/SCI POLYGRAPH LEVEL IS REQUIREDIn this role, you will serve as the heartbeat of our technical stack-integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and sustaining complex COTS/GOTS software in a highly diverse, heterogeneous operating environment. You won't just keep systems running; you'll take true software product ownership for advanced HPC tools, execute benchmark test codes to characterize system performance, develop dynamic custom tool plugins, and guide the optimal HPC configuration tailored to real-world customer needs. The annual base salary range for this role is $212,000-$251,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
Required Skills- COTS/GOTS Software Integration: Mastery in integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting complex COTS and GOTS software components in heterogeneous OS environments.
- Linux Administration & Scripting: Strong foundational Linux system administration skills and advanced shell scripting capability for automation and environment management.
- HPC Tool Product Ownership & Configuration: Demonstrated ability to provide product ownership for High-Performance Computing (HPC) tools and determine optimal configurations aligned to mission demands.
- Plugin Development & Customization: Proven experience developing custom software tool plugins in the target programming language of the hosted tools.
- Testing & Performance Characterization: Capability to write and execute test codes to characterize software performance, optimize execution, and resolve issues.
- Tooling & Documentation: Working knowledge of Configuration Management (CM) tools, web documentation platforms, and issue-tracking systems, along with full-stack software documentation skills.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, PLUS
10+ years of professional software engineering experience OR
Master's Degree in a related field, PLUS
8+ years of specialized software engineering experience OR
High School Diploma / GED, PLUS
15+ years of hands-on technical software development and big data administration experience in lieu of a degree.
Desired SkillsDeep experience adapting quickly in fast-paced environments and seamlessly transitioning across distinct architectural paradigms.
Experience with HPC scheduler frameworks, distributed file systems, and specialized parallel processing architectures.
Excellent collaborative communication, creative problem-solving skills, and a passion for continuous learning and technology leadership.
