We are seeking a Senior Software Developer with expertise in secure software engineering and Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes. The candidate will develop secure applications, conduct security assessments, and support A&A efforts in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to safeguard customer assets.
The team primarily develops in C# and .NET. Candidates with strong experience in Java or another object-oriented programming language are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate should be able to become productive in C# within the first several months.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications and services.
Develop readable, maintainable, and secure software.
Troubleshoot application defects and production issues.
Review code and contribute to technical design decisions.
Work with customers and team members to clarify requirements.
Maintain technical documentation.
Participate in planning, code reviews, testing, and software releases.
Support and improve existing applications, including legacy systems.
Complete security-relevant A&A tasks, such as risk assessments, vulnerability management, security control testing, and preparing authorization packages.
Required Skills:
Minimum 6+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years focused on security engineering and A&A processes.
Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent professional experience.
Strong proficiency in an object-oriented programming language such as C#, Java, Kotlin, or C++.
Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and common software design patterns.
Experience developing and supporting business or enterprise applications.
Experience with source control, code reviews, testing, debugging, and the Software Development Lifecycle.
Experience working with relational databases, web services, or application integrations.
Ability to learn new programming languages, frameworks, and systems.
Knowledge of A&A processes, including identifying and addressing security incidents and compliance issues.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred skills:
Experience with C# and .NET.
Experience with PowerShell or another scripting language.
Experience developing web APIs, Windows services, desktop applications, or web applications.
Experience with Microsoft Windows and IIS environments.
Experience with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
Experience working with AWS and Azure
Experience using GitHub, Jira, Jenkins, and Confluence
Familiarity with secure software development practices.
Familiarity with Agile development methods.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and AI-enabled application capabilities, including the secure use and validation of generated code and content.
