The team is seeking an Algorithm Engineer with a strong background in sensor fusion, algorithm development, and autonomous perception to support current and future development efforts. The successful applicant will own the full lifecycle of key algorithms that enable aircraft based fusion and autonomous decision making. Responsibilities include contributing to software requirements, algorithm design, mode development, design reviews, and testing of operational flight ready, sensor fusion software.
As an Algorithm Engineer on the Sensor Fusion team, you will be critical to ensuring we stay "ahead of ready" and continue to lead the Sensor Fusion domain. In this role, you will:
-Develop the vision for integration of new technologies, sensors, and capabilities into our programs.
-Write high quality, embedded C++ Sensor Fusion software products that are deployed across multiple platforms and run on real-time operating systems.
- Stage algorithms in high-fidelity simulation for feasibility studies and operational analysis, pushing the operational effectivity of our warfighter.
- Represent the organization as a subject matter expert in your sub-domain.
- Coordinate with other fusion sub-disciplines to ensure integration of your algorithms across core fusion domains.
- Define pathways for incorporation into a highly reusable, next generation multi platform Fusion Engine that will serve future autonomous systems.
Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.
Basic Qualifications- Strong proficiency in sensor fusion sub-domain(s) (e.g., state estimation, identification, correlation, sensor tasking) or strong experience across multiple domains including signal processing, artificial intelligence, autonomy/perception, artificial intelligence, navigation, or control systems in a sensor/systems application.
- Familiarity with algorithms used in development of sensor modes for RF and/or IR based sensor systems.
- Production experience with Real Time Operating Systems development in C, C++, or Rust (Windows/Linux) and high-fidelity prototyping/simulation in MATLAB or Python
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work across domains, and demonstrated success working in an AGILE environment
Desired Skills- Bachelors/Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
- Prior experience developing Requirements or Model Base Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Experience with active electronically scanned arrays (AESA) or electronic warfare (EW)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Prior customer facing or program management facing experience
- Experience with full systems life cycle development including SW, design, architecture, verification, and integration & test
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $148300.00 - $275500.00

- Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
