Role Description:We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer with proven experience in installing, configuring, developing, and integrating prototype applications for technical evaluation. The engineer will be supporting a lab environment providing support for customers developing and testing experiments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- To be eligible for this position you must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- Develop capabilities designed to help solve common problems arising from various analyst offices. Prototype development to extend enterprise services, support analytics, enhance machine learning, and develop commercial cloud solutions. Support the integration and evaluation of open source, emerging technologies, and new COTS applications. Work directly with customers, developers, or data scientists to gather requirements and feedback.
- Experience integrating with customer's cloud-based data systems. Experience installing, configuring, developing, and integrating prototype applications for technical evaluation.
- Bachelor's degree plus 11 years of relevant experience or equivalent. Computer Science (CS) degree or related field. Strong development experience in a variety of languages (ex., Java, Python).
Desired Skills and Qualifications:- Modeling experience. Machine Learning experience. Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes. Dev experience on Linux platforms. Analytics development experience. Virtual Machine (VM) experience.
Pay Rate:In compliance with Maryland's Equal Pay for Equal Work law, the annual base salary range for this position is $230,000 - $275,000. This range represents the base pay for this role and is provided in accordance with Maryland's requirements to disclose compensation in job postings. Please note that actual compensation may vary based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's qualifications, experience, education, skills, internal equity, and market conditions. In addition to base salary, candidates hired into this position may be eligible for a hiring bonus of $10,000.00, subject to applicable contingencies and Navstar policy.
