What you'll be doing

• Research, design, and develop computer and network software programs.
• Develop software using programming languages like C/C++, Java, Python, HTML, CSS, Javascript.
• Responsible for core tasks ranging from partner SOC board bring-up, third-party API integration, Roku OS feature development, code maintenance, designing scalability solutions to help onboard new factories, and supporting our QA and Channel certification teams.
• Engage in tasks related to our end-to-end product development and release cycles.
• Engage in new feature development for Roku core OS to enhance streaming player and Roku TV capabilities.

You are required to have

• Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Will also accept Bachelor's or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience as in the position or related occupation.

• Must have coursework, advance level coursework, project background, intern or work experience in the following:
  1. Software development methodologies.
  2. C/C++, Python, and shell scripting.
  3. API integration.
  4. Version control, CI/CD, and DevOps tools, including Git, GitHub, Jenkins, and Jira.
  5. Linux operating systems, including build systems and dependency management.
  6. Multi-threaded software development with memory management and necessary synchronization techniques.

Up to one day per week telecommuting may be permitted.

For California Only - The annual salary for this position is $232,200 -$282,700.

Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.
