The Position

In this role, you will lead instrumentation software development for digital pathology solutions that directly transform patient diagnostics. You will join a dynamic, collaborative team in designing and building scalable applications—from initial concept and backend logic to UI and full end-to-end system integration.

The Opportunity

  • Lead software development and integration efforts for complex digital pathology instrumentation and robotic systems.

  • Design and maintain elegant, scalable code using C#, C/C++, .NET, and Linux for both backend logic and user interface layers.

  • Develop and execute unit, subsystem, and integration testing to ensure high product quality and reliability.

  • Collaborate within an Agile environment with solution architects, hardware engineers, and software leads to translate business requirements into robust technical reality.

  • Mentor and guide fellow engineers, fostering technical growth and sharing best practices across multi-disciplinary project teams.

  • Drive technical innovation by prototyping new software systems and leveraging shared architecture components across solutions.

Who You Are

  • You hold a BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

  • You have 6 years of medical hardware device and/or diagnostics instrument experience

  • You have 6+ years of technical knowledge of C#, C/C++, Linux, .NET, Angular, and distributed systems or robotics.

  • You have 3 years of firmware development (C/C++)

  • You have a proven track record of taking software projects from idea to final release using solid system design principles.

  • You are familiar with modern development methodologies, such as the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or Scrum.

  • You excel at explaining technical concepts, mentoring team members, and working effectively with diverse stakeholders across engineering disciplines.

The expected salary range for this position is based on the primary location of Santa Clara, CA . 143,800.00 -267,000.00 USD Annual Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
