Description

As a Software Engineer at Verily, you will play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing products that are focused on the promise of precision health. Verily's core strategy to advance precision health is by closing the gap between research and care. The Consumer Health Systems Care Console team empowers healthcare professionals to seamlessly coordinate and deliver virtual patient care. It's an enterprise-grade tool designed to empower physicians, nurses, health coaches, and other members of a patient's care team. This console is the gateway for users to manage patients, support virtual care workflows, and drive precision health outcomes. The team is composed of full-stack developers who focus on delivering warm, personalized experiences for participants/users. Be at the forefront of innovation and tackle exciting challenges within a collaborative and dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deliver new full-stack software features across a range of Verily products.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify dependencies, coordinate delivery, and communicate design decisions.
  • Come up with ideas to technical design problems, compare options, and propose solutions.
  • Develop using industry-standard tools including GitHub, Google Cloud, Go, React, and Terraform to name a few.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience in software development.
  • 2+ years of experience as a software developer in an industry setting.
  • Expertise in building software and systems on any of: GCP, AWS or Azure (GCP preferred).


Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience with Go, TypeScript, React, and/or SQL.
  • Education or exposure to healthcare or life sciences, with emphasis on HL7 FHIR.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000 - $178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
