Introduction We are seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain cloud-based applications supporting mission-critical systems. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on coding, working across the full software development lifecycle, and deploying applications within modern cloud environments.
The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into working software solutions, develop and integrate application components, and support deployment and operational activities in AWS or similar cloud platforms. Experience with modern programming languages, cloud services, and DevOps practices is essential.
Required Skills and Demonstrated Experience:
Demonstrated experience independently designing and developing cloud based applications using current best practices and architectural guidelines.
Demonstrated experience working in software engineering, applications development or web application development and deployment.
Demonstrated experience with object oriented development in a modern language (Java, Go, C##).
Demonstrated experience developing front ends in modern frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.
Demonstrated experience developing in a Linux environment.
Demonstrated experience developing in a commercial clouds such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Travel:
This position is expected to be onsite. The position will be located within the Washington Metropolitan Area (WMA). Local travel/POV will be on an as needed basis, within the local place of performance.
