Full Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to work on the Fleet Ballistic Missile Program (FBM), a 63-year-old Program with a long-standing history of Mission Success and of a strong partnership with our Navy Customer! Are you an enthusiastic individual with a strong planning background that can thrive in an exciting fast-paced dynamic environment? This position does not support teleworking you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Littleton, CO and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time. The new Software Engineer will support the LE2 Program for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE). Use your strong software engineering skills to work with all project partners and define the future for FBM! Support the EGSE Organization as a software engineer. You will support modernization efforts geared toward achieving greater efficiency, security, automation and scalability. You will collaborate with an enthusiastic team of software, systems, electrical and test engineers using the Agile Development methodology. Coordinate with the product line manager and directorates to support needs. To be effective in this role, you will need: 3 Programming experience in one or more of the following: C/C#/C++, LabView, Python, TestStand 3 +3 years of professional experience for this role. 3 You will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance, thus US Citizenship The information below reflects the standard job description for this position Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met. Basic Qualifications 3 Programming experience in one or more of the following: C/C#/C++, LabView, Python, TestStand 3 Experience with product life cycle (development, deployment) and HARDWARE/SOFTWARE Integration efforts on Test Equipment 3 Issue Tracking and troubleshooting experience 3 US Citizenship required: Secret Clearance needed to start with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance Desired Skills 3 Bachelor 's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education 3 Experience in simulation software development, software testing and validation, and software configuration management 3 Systems thinking mindset 3 Test Equipment familiarity and integration 3 Experience with Agile and DevOps processes and culture 3 Experience with Jira or other Atlassian tool sets 3 Must be able to work autonomously and drive items to closure 3 Possess strong communication, social, and problem resolution skills 3 Experience working on project teams and development efforts 3 Experience developing software requirements, CONOPs, and software design Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $110300.00 - $204900.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics. 3 For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
