Full Job Description
We are looking for a Software Engineer II who can immediately contribute to Angular, .NET, API, and SQL development efforts; thinks critically through problems; collaborates effectively with teammates; embraces AI-enabled development practices; and can grow into a highly productive full-stack engineer on the UEP team .

This is a remote position and candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of our office locations in Allen, TX

The salary for this position is $76,400-$98,000 and will be determined based on experience level.

All positions, regardless of location, may require an onsite interview or in-person onboarding requirement to verify your identity.

What you'll be responsible for:
• Participates in product technical design and prototyping, software development, bug verification and resolution.
• May perform system analysis and programming activities which may require research and timely, effective, and quality delivery of software into production.
• With assistance, provides technical/engineering support for new and existing applications from code delivery until the retirement of the application.
• With assistance, tests applications based on business requirements and industry best practices.
• Uses best practices and standard guidance to create and modify routine, low impact code.
• Collaboratively works with QA team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
• Works with cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives.
• May participate in critical tasks and deliverables with assistance, and sets and updates expectations on size, scope, and timelines.
• Adheres to documented departmental and corporate standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Conducts unit tests and integration tests to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of developed software.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues as they arise, providing timely resolutions.
• May perform other job duties as assigned.

What you'll need to have:
• Minimum of 2 years of overall software development experience which should include.
• Angular development experience .
• C# / .NET development.
• REST API development and integration.
• SQL Server and database fundamentals.
• Experience debugging and troubleshooting application issues.
• Understanding of asynchronous programming concepts (async/await).
• Familiarity with secure coding practices and database best practices (e.g., avoiding SQL injection) .

What would be nice for you to have:
• Full stack development experience (UI, APIs, and database).
• Experience conducting or participating in code reviews.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar solutions.
• Experience with modern development practices, source control, and collaborative development workflows.
• Very Familiar with OWASP Top 10 Vulnerabilities .
