Full Job Description
*This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI w/ Fullscope Polygraph clearance to be considered.*

ProSync is seeking a Software Engineer with strong satellite protocol processing experience and excellent critical-thinking skills to support a mission-focused development team. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in modern programming languages-preferably C++, though Go, Rust, or Python are also acceptable, and has a proven ability to work on complex, high-impact systems. This role supports the team's satellite protocol processing mission, requiring engineers who can analyze, design, and implement software solutions for specialized data flows and operational environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Satellite Protocol Processing - Develop, maintain, and optimize software components that process satellite-based data and mission protocols.
  • C++ / Modern Language Development - Design and implement software using C++ or other modern languages such as Go, Rust, or Python.
  • Mission-Focused Engineering - Support mission requirements by developing reliable, efficient, and scalable software for operational environments.
  • Critical Thinking & Problem Solving - Apply strong analytical skills to diagnose complex issues, evaluate technical approaches, and improve system performance.
  • System Integration - Integrate software components with existing mission systems, data pipelines, and processing frameworks.
  • Code Quality & Reviews - Participate in code reviews, enforce coding standards, and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.
  • Documentation & Collaboration - Produce clear technical documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support mission execution.


Requirements
  • Software Engineering Requirements: A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus seven (7) years of experience in software engineering (OR) in lieu of a degree, a total of eleven (11) or more years of software engineering experience.
    • (Note: Software Engineer Level II's require a relevant Bachelor's degree or higher plus fourteen (14) years of software engineering experience (OR) in lieu of a degree, a total of eighteen (18) or more years of software engineering experience.)
  • Deep experience with satellite protocol processing.
  • Expertise in C++, Go, Rust, or Python for mission-critical systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to support large-scale, complex mission programs.
  • An active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph is required.
