About the role We have an immediate need for a Software Engineer to enhance capabilities of cyber products for security-conscious government & commercial customers. The Software Engineer I will be developing & testing new product capabilities, software development/build tools, software test infrastructure & operational support for cross-domain products. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, working in a cohesive team environment, willing to grow & learn using many software development & operational tools to test, debug & support software for secure Linux desktop environments, IT operations/enterprise management, IP networking/routing and remote/virtual desktop deployments
Location: Richardson, TX - On-Site
Work Schedule: - Full Time, Monday - Friday (standard work schedule with flexibility for mission critical requirements).
Key Responsibilities : - Demonstrate competency working hands-on in Linux based environments.
- Develop new features and extensions to existing products using a variety of languages including Rust, C, C++, Java, and proprietary languages.
- Self-starter utilizing your Linux and scripting expertise to integrate new features and extensions into complex products.
- Leverage standard networking concepts to support the design and implementation of Cross Domain capabilities.
- Develop data inspection policies using proprietary and open-source programming languages.
Qualifications and Experience: - BS Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Information Security or equivalent
- Experience with software development in Linux environments using a variety of programming and scripting languages including Java, Python, Go, C/C++, and/or bash
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking & related protocols (such as HTTP, SSH, IPSEC, TLS/SSL, etc)
- Basic understanding of private and public keys and or certificates
- Experience with version control technologies such as Git
- Red Hat Enterprise, Fedora or Ubuntu Linux operating systems
- If needed the applicant must have the ability to obtain the appropriate work authorizations that may be required under U.S. ITAR or EAR regulations from the applicable U.S government ageny.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with security design and architecture of Cross Domain solutions (CDS)
- Agile or Scrum development experience
- Experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini or OpenCode
- Experience with network analysis tools such as Wireshark
- Experience with virtual desktop redisplay technologies such as Azure Virtual Desktop, RDP, Citrix Receiver or VMware Horizon View
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is:
$74,100.00-107,300.00 USD
The actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs.
