As part of our digital transformation, we are expanding our internal development capabilities to enhance collaboration, document management, and workflow automation. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer with a strong focus on SharePoint and Power Platform development to join our IT team. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom SharePoint and web-based solutions and related applications that support internal business processes and enhance productivity across the firm.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain custom SharePoint Online solutions using SPFx, Power Automate, Power Apps, and related technologies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop and maintain workflows, forms, and dashboards to streamline business processes.
- Integrate SharePoint with other Microsoft 365 services (Teams, Outlook, OneDrive) and third-party systems.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and documentation for inhouse developed solutions.
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and compliant with firm policies and legal standards.
- Participate in Git Workflow / Version Control, code reviews, testing, and related deployment processes.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience, & Education:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in SharePoint development (SharePoint Online preferred).
- Proficiency in:
- SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
- Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI)
- JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS
- REST APIs
- MS SQL and relational database knowledge preferred.
- Experience with tools such as Copilot.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in professional services environments.
- Knowledge of document management systems and legal compliance standards.
Schedule/Location:- Monday to Friday; 8-hour day shift
- Indianapolis office; hybrid option
Travel and Physical Requirements:- No travel
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing and operating office equipment
- Occasional standing, walking, bending and reaching
- Ability to lift and carry up to 10-15 pounds (e.g., files, documents, office supplies)
- Visual acuity to read screens, review documents and analyze detailed information
- Ability to communicate effectively via phone, video and in person
