Job Summary
The Software Engineer will support quality engineering initiatives across enterprise applications by designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automated test solutions for web, API, and end-to-end business workflows. The role will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and QA teams within Agile delivery squads to improve automation coverage, testing efficiency, and software quality.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, API, and end-to-end business workflows.
• Analyze functional requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to identify automation opportunities.
• Automate regression test cases and expand automation coverage across applications.
• Develop reusable automation frameworks and utilities to improve testing efficiency.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze test results.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution and retesting.
• Collaborate with development teams to support CI/CD integration and shift-left testing practices.
• Maintain test cases, automation assets, and traceability within Zephyr and Jira.
• Support test data management and environment coordination activities.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and defect triage activities.
• Generate test execution metrics, automation coverage reports, and quality dashboards.
• Ensure testing activities align with established SDLC, governance, and security standards.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of test automation experience.
• Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience with Cucumber (BDD), TestNG, or JUnit.
• Hands-on experience with REST Assured and API automation testing.
• Experience developing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Strong programming experience with Java, Ruby, or JavaScript, with Java preferred.
• Experience with Git, GitLab, and Jenkins.
• Experience integrating automated testing with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Jira, Zephyr, defect lifecycle management, and test planning and execution.
• Experience with Oracle SQL, SQL query writing, and test data validation.
• Strong understanding of Agile Scrum and sprint-based development practices.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and quality engineering practices.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with distributed Agile teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in the banking or financial services domain.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience with AI-assisted test automation tools.
