This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII's Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems.

Job Description

HII - Mission Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to support designing, developing, and maintaining modern software applications that power national broadband initiatives, data analytics platforms, and critical telecommunications systems. This role will work with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions that help improve digital equity and communications infrastructure across the United States.

Salary for this position will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and skill set, while also considering internal equity and market competitiveness.

LEVEL 3 - $106,647 - $152,352

LEVEL 4 - $128,989 - $184,270

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions that support national telecommunication mission objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • LEVEL 2 - 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • LEVEL 3 - 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages (such as Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go).
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Understanding of API development, RESTful services, and microservice architecture.
  • Clearance: An active SECRET level security clearance is required.


Preferred Requirements

  • Experience working with federal agencies or in government-related programs.
