What You Can ExpectAs a Machine Learning Engineer, you will develop and enhance AI/ML algorithms and solutions that protect millions of users across the Zoom platform, contributing to a team where your work has immediate impact on user safety. Working alongside experienced researchers and engineers, you will translate cutting-edge research into scalable systems, tackle complex challenges, and continuously grow your technical craft. This is a hybrid position that requires on-site presence 4 days per week at our San Jose, CA office. Remote arrangements are not available for this role.
Responsibilities- Design, implement, and optimize AI/ML algorithms, techniques, and solutions to address complex Trust and Safety challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research findings into scalable engineering solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical presentations to uphold the quality and reliability of engineering solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing systems and propose innovative solutions that enhance performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Stay current with advancements in AI/ML research and engineering, applying emerging knowledge to continuously strengthen our technical capabilities.
What We're Looking For- 5 or more years of professional experience with a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Python or another relevant programming language
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying machine learning models, with solid understanding of ML concepts, algorithms, and techniques; experience with natural language processing (NLP) is a plus
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for AI through academic or personal projects, with genuine curiosity for emerging possibilities in the field
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Salary Range or On Target Earnings:$137,700.00 - $275,400.00
In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.
Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
