This role is part of Enterprise Technology (ET), where we’re developing the digital infrastructure needed to build the road to space, with an emphasis on digital capabilities required to advance Blue Origin’s mission. Enterprise Technology is the center of excellence for digital technology at Blue Origin, providing oversight and governance to align technology and business strategies.

As part of the Emerging Technology Team, you will bring a software development perspective to aerospace design and analysis systems. You will be a key member of the team responsible for building our AI native systems that design, build and test our products using the latest AWS, Java, React, Python and GenAI platforms.

We are looking for someone who has an approach hallmarked by rapid delivery and continuous-improvement and who is ready to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in computer science, information science, or a related field, or equivalent experience in practice

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience, writing production code in at least one programming language

  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles and the ability translate domain expertise into applications

  • Familiarity with Python, Java and Typescript as a primary coding language

  • Experience developing long-lasting REST/GraphQL APIs and/or applications in a production environment

  • Experience with version control (Gitlab / Github) and CI/CD pipelines

  • Experience with unit and end to end testing on Java or React

  • Nuanced understanding of at least one modern database system, such as RDBMS, columnar DBMS, NoSQL, IMDB.

  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships through outstanding interpersonal and communication skills

Desired:

  • Familiarity with Angular or Python coding language

  • Previous use of AWS, Azure, or other cloud infrastructures

  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform

  • Familiarity with the latest GenAIstate of the art, particularlyagentic harnesses, MCP, and knowledge graphs


Base Pay Range for:

WA applicants is $164,652.00 - $230,512.80
