Salary Range:
$92,300.00 - $207,000.00

This pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation that the position offers, and final compensation can vary within the range depending on work location, job experience, skills, and relevant educational attainment and/or training.

Position: Software Developer Engineer
Location: Houston, TX - Hybrid
Employment type: Full-time regular (flexible working options available)

About the role:
The role will collaborate with a team of skilled software engineers in designing and implementing of Azure architecture applications and automated tests for Azure solutions. They will work largely independently on larger, moderately complex projects/assignments; and will collaborate with a team for overall success of deliverables. They will be responsible for design, coding, testing and delivery on moderate complexity features.

Key responsibilities
  • Design, develop and implement AVEVA solutions on Microsoft Azure
  • Continuously evaluate and validate system design and architecture with risk analysis and the creation of mitigation strategies.
  • Recognizing, articulating, and making technical decisions / trade-offs around multiple dimensions (scaling, reliability, performance, maintenance, etc.) that have an impact on your team.
  • Design, develop and implement automated tests on Microsoft Azure
  • Perform advanced test case design analysis beyond the obvious functionality described
  • Ensure deep understanding of the product and plan comprehensive test coverage
  • Demonstrate sound decision making on work to be sure it is delivered in a timely manner

  • Experience using AI tools across the software development lifecycle-including design, programming, testing, debugging, validation, and documentation-is preferred.
  • Approximately one year of experience with AI-assisted software development is desirable, but equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered.
  • Experience customizing or extending AI development tools-for example, through reusable skills, prompts, workflows, agent configuration, tool integrations, or other methods-is a plus.
  • Candidates should be able to demonstrate sound judgment when reviewing AI-generated output, including how they verify results, identify errors, test assumptions, and maintain code quality and security.

Hybrid working
