About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled, motivated engineer to join a team developing automated analysis tools and methods, integrations with design and manufacturing software, and reporting/certification automations to drive efficiency throughout engineering. As a software engineer, you will be a key member of a team of experts supporting physics and engineering analysis by developing software pipelines and solutions to enable the future state of analysis.
Passion for our mission and vision is required!
Responsibilities:- Design, build, and maintain analysis software tools and methods, including converting existing tools into modern languages following software best practices
- Leverage HPC infrastructure and workflows on AWS (EC2, S3) to support engineering analysis automation
- Integrate inputs and automate output formats for 3rd-party analysis tools (e.g., Ansys, Altair) to improve engineer productivity and throughput.
- Build and maintain containerized development and execution environments for analysis software across Linux and macOS platforms.
- Develop APIs, services, and job orchestration layers (e.g., Slurm, OpenMPI) to enable scalable, self-service compute for engineering teams.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of Blue Analysis Templates and supporting toolchains.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for analysis software delivery.
- Collaborate with engineers across disciplines to identify automation opportunities and develop solutions that reduce manual effort.
- Mentor a team of structural and mechanical engineers on best practices for software development and deployment.
