Position Overviewdormakaba is seeking a Software Developer based in Montreal, Qc (hybrid). The Software Developer will own the delivery of high-value solutions that directly address our customers' needs. They will collaborate within a high-performing team to deliver innovative security and access management solutions. The Software Developer will leverage technologies, data-driven decision-making, and software engineering principles such as SOLID, DRY, and YAGNI, and be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying scalable software applications and microservices using test-driven development. The position works closely with firmware engineers and cross-functional teams to develop, maintain and deliver reliable, high-quality, customer-focused solutions for dormakaba's hospitality security and access management solutions. Ensuring reliable, innovative, and secure products that meet customer needs.
Total Compensation Range: $90,000 - $120,000 annually

What you will do- Conduct end-to-end design and development of software features, including technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and resolution of production issues
- Maintain a customer-centric approach by understanding customer requirements, challenges, and business objectives, and translating those insights into effective and impactful technical solutions
- Take ownership of features throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design through implementation, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing production support
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable solutions while proactively identifying and addressing technical risks
- Drive ongoing product improvements by proactively identifying opportunities to enhance functionality, performance, reliability, user experience, and customer value
What we require- 5+ years of software development experience with a bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET, Visual Studio, AngularJS, Angular 7, asynchronous programming, multithreading, windows services and back-end service development
- Proven experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs, with a strong understanding of microservices, scalable distributed systems, message bus technologies, and inter-process communication
- Proficiency in SQL (MSSQL) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB), as well as ORM frameworks such as Entity Framework and NHibernate
- Fluently bilingual in English and French, as the incumbent must work with a global multidisciplinary team

Le Développeur logiciel sera responsable de la livraison de solutions à forte valeur ajoutée répondant directement aux besoins de nos clients. Il collaborera au sein d'une équipe hautement performante afin de fournir des solutions innovantes en matière de sécurité et de gestion des accès.
Le titulaire du poste mettra à profit les technologies, la prise de décision fondée sur les données ainsi que les principes d'ingénierie logicielle tels que
SOLID, DRY et YAGNI. Il sera responsable de la conception, du développement, des essais et du déploiement d'applications logicielles et de microservices évolutifs en utilisant une approche de développement piloté par les tests (TDD).
