Summary:
The Site Reliability Engineer owns the day-to-day health, security, and usability of the organization's ICAM environment while applying SRE practices to keep delivery platforms reliable, observable, and automated. This role independently administers solutions, drives automation across the service delivery lifecycle, and partners with engineering teams to improve developer experience and enforce security and compliance standards.
Responsibilities:
Administer/support the following:
• Advanced/Expert level RHEL Administration
• Advanced/Expert level Broadcom/CA DX Directory & LDAP Administration
• Advanced/Expert level Layer7 / CA API Gateway Administration
• Advanced/Expert level DataStax Enterprise Cassandra Operations
• Automate platform administration and operational workflows using scripting and advanced orchestration.
• Monitor platform availability and performance against defined SLOs, and tune alerting to reduce noise.
• Respond to platform and pipeline incidents, lead troubleshooting, and contribute to blameless postmortems.
• Maintain platform documentation, runbooks, and onboarding guides.
Compensation & Benefits:
Starting Salary Range for Site Reliability Engineer: $110,000 - $120,000

Basic Qualifications:
• Working knowledge of SRE fundamentals, including SLOs/SLIs, incident management, and postmortems.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tooling, such as Datadog or Splunk.
• Solid hands-on experience with GitHub and Infrastructure as Code. Terraform experience is a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of GitHub Actions, including workflow design, secrets handling, and runner management.
• Strong working knowledge of AI and leveraging AI to support day-to-day tasks.
• Experience with containerization and at least one cloud platform (Azure or AWS).
• Experience supporting federal government clients or contracts is a plus.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Public Trust or Security Clearance.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• This position requires an active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance to be considered.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer; may occasionally require standing or moving about the office for extended periods.
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevSecOps, or platform engineering roles.
• Preferably in an enterprise ICAM environment.
Work Environment:
Work is performed primarily in a climate-controlled environment.
