Position Description: The Site Reliability Engineer is an engineer responsible for supporting reliability engineering tasks under the guidance of senior technical staff. This role applies foundational knowledge of monitoring tools, incident response, automation, and operational support to help maintain system reliability and service stability. The Site Reliability Engineer assists with incident management, alert implementation, and runbook documentation while following established SRE practices, tools, and procedures.
This position is located in our Lafayette, Louisiana office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities: Assist with incident management and service restoration activities under supervision; Implement and maintain monitoring alerts, dashboards, and operational checks; Support basic automation tasks to improve repeatability and reduce manual effort; Document runbooks, standard operating procedures, and incident response steps; Monitor system health, service availability, and operational events using approved tools; Troubleshoot basic reliability and operational issues and escalate complex problems as appropriate; Follow established SRE practices, change management requirements, and operational standards; Collaborate with engineering, platform, and operations teams to support service reliability
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent relevant experience if permitted by contract; Basic understanding of monitoring, observability, incident response, and automation concepts; Familiarity with operational support processes and reliability engineering principles; Exposure to scripting, cloud platforms, or container environments is preferred; Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; Ability to work effectively in a team environment

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $71,700.00 $176,300.00.
