SITE QUALITY MANAGER 3
  • The Quality Manager 3 will lead a team of Quality professionals (e.g., inspection, compliance, engineering) to drive manufacturing quality process improvements for multiple sites within a division. This role owns execution and sustainment of the Quality Management System (QMS) in complex environments with variation in products, processes, and customer/market requirements. The manager routinely partners with Operations and Engineering. May oversee supplier/service provider performance with regular customer interaction as needed. The position manages multiple value streams and process improvement initiatives typically associated with larger scope operating plants within a division.
  • Reports to the Division Quality Manager. As a management representative for quality, manages department resources and coordinates the implementation of the quality management system between business units and locations to cost-effectively facilitate quality and compliance. Interacts routinely with all functional areas as well as with customers, field sales, regulatory agencies, division/group/corporate management, and suppliers.
  • The dimensions of this role typically include a large manufacturing site (200 plus headcount) with oversight of all site-level quality processes including all Quality Inspectors.
Essential Functions:
  • QMS Ownership and Governance
    • Owns and drives adherence to Parker Quality Process (PQP) methodologies and principles through deployment of PQP tools within a multiple site environment.
    • Lead execution and sustainment of the QMS (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100 as applicable) across complex or multi-site operations.
    • Establish and maintain audit readiness; coordinate internal, customer, and third-party audits and ensure timely closure of findings.
    • Own document control, training, and management review inputs; ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Manufacturing Quality Leadership
    • Direct daily quality operations across multiple value streams at multiple sites (inspection, testing, nonconformance management, MRB).
    • Ensure adherence to control plans, standard work, and change control; validate effectiveness of process controls and product verification.
    • Monitor and improve key metrics (e.g., FPY, scrap, rework, complaints, cost of quality); drive continuous improvement roadmaps.
  • Structured Problem Solving and Risk Reduction
    • Lead complex root cause analysis and CAPA using A3, 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone; verify effectiveness and prevent recurrence.
    • Maintain and improve PFMEAs, Control Plans, and risk registers; lead SPC implementation and process capability analysis (Cp/Cpk).
    • Oversee MSA/gage R&R, calibration compliance, and metrology practices.
  • Supplier and Customer Engagement
    • Oversee supplier/service provider performance where applicable: incoming quality, SCARs, audits, containment, and corrective actions.
    • Interface regularly with customers on quality topics (e.g., significant events, corrective actions, verification of effectiveness, readiness assessments).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Project Leadership
    • Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and CI/Lean teams to align improvements with business and technical requirements.
    • Lead multi-value-stream process improvement initiatives; coordinate resources, schedules, and benefits tracking.
  • People Leadership and Capability Building
    • Lead and develop a team of quality professionals and/or inspectors; manage staffing, coaching, training, priorities, and performance.
    • Build competency in quality tools and systems; promote a culture of accountability, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelors degree required; Engineering degree preferred
    • Minimum of 10 years of related experience
    • Experience leading quality teams and initiatives in larger single-site or multi-site operations with diverse product/process/customer requirements.
  • Knowledge and Skills
    • Deep knowledge of QMS standards and audit practices (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949 as applicable).
    • Proficiency with quality tools and methods: CAPA, A3/8D problem solving, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA (gage R&R), PPAP/FAI, and MRB processes.
    • Ability to interpret engineering drawings/specifications; GD&T familiarity preferred.
    • Strong analytical and data skills; experience with KPI dashboards and statistical tools (e.g., Minitab or equivalent).
    • Effective communication and influence skills across executive, manager, and shop-floor levels; strong customer and supplier interaction capabilities.
    • Demonstrated leadership across multiple value streams and complex improvement portfolios, solid project management skills.
    • Familiarity with ERP/MES and standard productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft 365).
  • Certifications (preferred, not required)
    • Internal Auditor (ISO 9001 or applicable), ASQ certifications (e.g., CQE, CQA, CMQ/OE), and/or Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
  • Other:
    • Ability to travel periodically to support multi-site initiatives, supplier/customer engagement, and audits.

Competitive Compensation
  • Pay Range: $138150 to $241850 annually
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
