Job SummaryThe Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as the primary HR partner for the NCH facility, managing the site-level HR activities throughout the employee lifecycle. Reporting to the HR Manager, this role partners closely with site leadership to support operational objectives through talent acquisition, exmployee engagement, employee relations, and workforce development initiatives. In addition to providing day-to-day HR support for NCH, the HRBP plays a key role in supporting regional HR programs and projects, identifying opportunties to strengthen organizational effectiveness, enhance the employee experirence, and drive business performance. This position is based on site at our North Charlestown, NH facility.
Job ResponsibilitiesSite HR Support, Employee Relations & Engagement- Promote a positive and high-performing workplace culture through visible HR presence, responsiveness, and partnership with employees and leaders at the NCH facility
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees and supervisors related to questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and employment-related matters
- Assist with benefit-related questions and support annual open enrollment activities in partnership with the Benefits team
- Provide guidance and coaching to supervisors on performance management, employee development, and corrective action processes
- Serve as the primary point of intake for employee concerns and workplace issues, escalating matters to the HR Manager as appropriate
- Lead the annual employee engagement survey process, facilitate meaningful engagement discussions, and coach supervisors and site leaders on the development of effective action plans
- Manage employee recognition programs, site celebrations, community involvement activites, and other duties as assigned
Talen Aquisition, Workforce Development & HR Program Execution
- Lead full-cycle recruitment and new hire onboarding activities for all NCH positions and provide TA support across the region as needed
- Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies that support current and future workforce needs:
- Oversee participation of job fairs, networking events, career days, plant tours, and other community outreach activties
- Build and maintain relationships with local schools, workforce development agencies, and industry associations to promote GKN's presence as an employer of choice
- Research, develop, and implement workforce development programs that support the site's growth and transformation objectives:
- Develop apprenticeships, internship and co-op partnerships, and other talent pipeline initiatives
- Create and support career pathing, career leveling, and internal mobility programs that promote employee development and retention
- Identify workforce capability gaps and recommend learning and development solutions to address current and future business needs
- Support regional HR initiatives through project execution, collaboration, best-practice sharing, and implementation of programs across multiple sites
- Partner with HR and business leaders across the region to drive continous improvement and organizational effectiveness initiativeness and other duties as assigned
Job QualificationsRequired Qualifications- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Operations Management, Project Management, or a related field
- 3 or more years of experience in human resources, workforce development, lean, project management, or combination thereof in a manufacturing environment
- Experience leading full-cycle recruitment activities for hourly and salaried positions
- Demonstrarted ability to build strong relationships and effectively influence employees, supervisors, and leaders at all levels of the organization
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications- Experience developing or supporting workforce development initiatives
- Ability to identify, anticipate, and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly and effectively
- Ability to work independently while leveraging support and collaboration from a regional HR team
